Kristina is from Whitman, a small town in the Sandhills of Western Nebraska. Her musical influences include Sara Evans, Rebecca St. James, Jaci Velasquez, Martina McBride and Bonnie Raitt. Country and Christian are the genres that most compliment her personal style and best allow her to share who she is with her audience.
Kristina has won many competitions throughout her career including the 2006 Galaxy of Stars Talent Search Nebraska State Fair Competition, where she placed first in her age division. In 2007 she was a finalist on the ABC Primetime Special "Six Degrees of Martina McBride" and the winner of the People’s Choice Awards for her performance at the Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville, TN. As part of the show, Kristina recorded "Back in My Cowboy Days," which is being played on local radio stations and available on iTunes.
Kristina is currently recording a new CD with award winning Producer Frank Green, Owner of DigitalMaster in Nashville, TN. The CD will include some songs she has written and a few that she really connects with. She has completed three songs for her album, is working on more and will soon be promoting a single release. She is also putting together a band to promote her single release and new CD and will soon begin performing in Nashville, as well as throughout her home state of Nebraska.
"I am so excited about this project, about all the new things we are getting accomplished and being able to have some songs in my new album ready for my fans. I really wanted lyrics that portrayed the type of woman I am and songs that people could listen to and say, "that's my song". I'm writing with some amazing writers and I can’t wait to see what we come up with to complete the CD. My goal for this CD is for my fans get to know who I am and that my music will make a difference in their lives."
Kristina never forgets where her talent has come from and is thankful for the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon her. She is also extremely grateful for all of her fans, who continue to support her through these early years in her career. As word of Kristina’s soulful, country style and her charisma has spread, her popularity has grown across Nebraska and into surrounding states.
